Yoga Teacher Training Director
Finding a way to keep sharing yoga with people has been one of the greatest joys of my life. I’ve been blessed to practice, to teach, to run studios, and to carry yoga’s teachings into other aspects of my life like parenting, archery, and friendships. I’ve been blessed to have those teachings lift me up out of the dark places I sometimes find myself in, not letting me dwell too long on losses, mistakes, or broken parts of myself. Sometimes yoga reminds me of all the things I suck at, and like a best friend, gives me the choice of laughing or crying and is cool with either. Other times yoga makes me feel like a powerful goddess or contortionist and like a best friend, celebrates my wins while keeping me humble! I know this is all specific to my experience and interpretation of it, but that’s the beauty of knowing yoga – I believe everyone is having their own relationship with their practice, and all someone called a “Teacher” does is make a safe space for others to reconnect with that friend in their own heart and soul. “Yoga 4 the World” is creating programs, teachers, spaces, and opportunities that open up hearts and minds, and for me, this chance to work with purpose at this point in my life is exciting! I hope to bring my energy and experience from teaching Middle School and High School in the past few years and my decades of service as a yoga teacher and teacher educator into this exceptional organization and amplify the great work that has already been done by “Yoga 4 Philly.” I’m looking forward to the new adventures, challenges, and shared experiences that the opportunity to work with “Yoga 4 The World” will provide!
